That is the main reason I am learning MC 6 and encouraging my daughter (at Uni) who is pretty good on FC Pro and Premiere to do the same. The main factor that really interests me about this whole proposition is where AVID may be? headed with MC and Protools.

So it is good to know Professional training is out there if you want it at vet.co.uk and I guess many others organisations. There is tons and tons of stuff out there now for Premiere/Final Cut 10. Goes to show when transitioning across you need to find out stuff fast. Dumb question possibly but when I went over to look at the resource available on Lyndadotcom Ashley should have mentioned this so will ping her an email. I would have thought it a trivial pursuit for AVID to implement this? I can fairly confidently that anyone "switching" from FC Pro or Premiere would find this strange but I would be very grateful for any help understanding this better. I would be really grateful for the expert professionals who advise on this forum to explain this "new" workflow for me.
Given AVID make the BEST audio editing tool on Planet Earth called Protools I am finding this a bit of a weird experience. So I tested this theory on my daughter who is at University who has used FC Pro and Premiere and when she saw no waveform in the source window in MC6 she said quote. Just to remind myself I booted up Premiere just to double check.Nice waveform in viewer window.nicely editable, seems quick to me. There are a LOT of things I like about MC6 so far, the editing interface (video) seems pretty neat.Īs per a previous post I questioned why I could not see the waveform for an "audio-only" clip in the source window.only the timeline. Ashley has done a nice job to get going with MC6 Maybe AVID SHOULD offer this course to "switchers" it a a great little primer.very useful. Fortunately I have a Lynda dot com account and there is a very nice presentation of MC6 over there by Ashley Kennedy.
